Professional Interests: He strongly believes that physical activity, diet and state of mind are of paramount importance in maintaining overall health, and returning to health from disease. He also encourages patients to become experts in their medical care, to understand how daily choices affect their health, and to take responsibility for their health.

Personal Interests: family, gardening, reading, writing, humor

Monica DeMasi, MD

Professional Interests include: medical education, quality improvement, serving the underserved, immigrant health
Personal Interests: hiking, literature, spending time with her husband and two young children
Fun fact: Dr. DeMasi speaks fluent Spanish and Portuguese

Mary Wunderle-McIntosh, MD

Lebanon Site Director

Graduate of Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, Upper Peninsula Program

Residency: Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas; served as chief resident and trained in the Rural/Obstetrics track

Professional Interests include: Rural medicine, obstetrics, inpatient medicine, many procedures, developing the Lebanon site into a rural training track

Personal Interests: she enjoys family time, hiking, cooking, dance, gardening and cross stitch

 

Bharat Gopal, MD, MPH

Corvallis Faculty

Medical School: University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Medicine

Master in Public Health: Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health

Residency: Carle Foundation Hospital 

Professional Interests: passion for resident education, methods of resident feedback and summary evaluation. Dr. Gopal cherishes the process of how medical student graduates become Family Physicians

Personal Interests: He enjoys spending time with his family, watching or reading science fiction.

Fun fact: “his virtual self has played Maria in The Sound of Bacon.” -Rob Hughes

Margaret Carr, MD

Residency: SUNY Stonybrook Residency

Professional Interests: 

Personal Interests: Dr. Carr enjoys making things with yeasts, and she lives to travel

Fun fact: She's a fourth generation Oregonian

Kathy Chang, MD, MPH

Medical School: University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine 

Residency: Methodist Medical Center of Illinois 

Professional Interests: 

Personal Interests: Dr. Chang enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, rock climbing, camping, gardening and playing with her dogs.

Fun fact: Dr. Chang served as the director of clinical services for the Engeye Health Clinic in Ddegeya, Uganda for 2 yrs
